CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper City Council has approved a three-month extension for 307 Enterprises LLC, operating as 307 Golf, to activate its retail liquor license. The license, previously approved on Aug. 2, 2022, has remained non-operational due to extensive renovations at the location, 455 Thelma Drive.
Under normal circumstances, once a retail liquor license is approved, it can be non-operational for up to one year. However, upon showing good cause, the City Council has the authority to grant an extension for up to an additional year, according to a staff memo prepared for the City Council. In this case, 307 Golf provided its reasons for delay, leading to the council’s decision by minute action to provide them with an extension.
The establishment underwent substantial remodeling, which proved to be a significant challenge in meeting the original activation deadline of Aug. 3. Although the project is now nearing completion, the company informed the council that it will require additional time to finish the necessary walk-throughs and approvals from both the City Building Department and the Natrona County Health Department.
JR Boyles, managing member of 307 Golf, personally addressed the City Council in a letter requesting a 30-day extension to finalize the remodel and activate the liquor license. He assured the council that the remodel is 95% complete and that he anticipates obtaining all required approvals by mid-August.
The memo and letter to the council can be found below.
