New York Knicks forward Josh Hart accepted his $12.9 million player option for the upcoming season. There was a good chance that Hart would’ve earned more money on the open market, but decided to remain with the Knicks. Staying in New York helped give the Knicks the financial flexibility to bring in Donte DiVincenzo this offseason. Hart is now set to become a free agent next offseason, but he would like to remain with the Knicks. The 28-year-old is hopeful the two sides can begin discussing a new deal soon because New York is where he wants to be.
