World Seniors Snooker (WSS) is delighted to announce the first four qualifying dates for the 2023/24 season which will see the Tour visit venues across England, as well as Ireland and Jersey.
Each tournament will carry a coveted place in the LLP Solicitors World Seniors Snooker Championship which will be staged at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from the 8-12 May 2024.
Qualifying Dates
- Qualifier One: 15-17 September 2023 – The Crucible Sports and Social Club, Reading
- Qualifier Two: 6-8 October 2023 – North East Snooker Centre, North Shields
- Qualifier Three 23-25 February 2024 – Snooker Billiards Ireland Academy, Carlow
- Qualifier Four 8-10 March 2024 – The Mechanics Club, Jersey.
Super Seniors
On the Sunday of each of these qualifiers there will also be a Super Seniors event held for those aged 55 and over:
- Sunday 17 September 2023 – The Crucible, Reading
- Sunday 8 October 2023 – North East Snooker Centre, North Shields
- Sunday 25 February 2024 – Snooker Billiards Ireland Academy, Carlow
- Sunday 10 March 2024 – The Mechanics Club, Jersey
Tour membership and eligibility rules will be announced in due course, all players will need to secure a 2023/24 World Seniors Tour Membership to participate.
Jason Francis, WSS Chairman, said: “We’re aware many of our Tour have been asking for dates so we wanted to get the Crucible qualifier dates announced as we understand for many that is the ultimate prize for any snooker player and people will need to schedule them in.
“We are working hard on our open series dates and also trying to stage the UK Seniors Championship once again so hope to make more announcements soon. We hope by staging these first four in different geographical locations that many more non mainland based players will be able to enter. We aim to open tour membership and entries for these events in the near future.”
