ALEXANDRIA — Six Central Lakes Conference titles weren’t enough for the Brainerd Warriors to get over the Sartell Sabres Saturday, Oct. 28, in the Central Lakes Conference Championships.
Brainerd needed to defeat Sartell to climb into a tie for the CLC season title, but Sartell outpointed Brainerd 540-444 to win the conference crown.
The Warriors didn’t go down without a fight, however.
Brainerd scored big points in the 100 butterfly as Lind Giuliani won in 1:00.11. Autumn Larson placed fifth followed by Kaia Iske in eighth and Lily Larson in 10th out of 32 swimmers.
