BETTING GUIDE: Who are the favourites as F1 heads to Interlagos?

Brazil plays host to the final part of the late season triple-header with some drivers heading to Interlagos in need of a strong result while others are carrying plenty of momentum with them to Sao Paulo.

Max Verstappen is on another winning streak, having tasted victory at the last four races. But he didn’t win here last year – so do the odds still have him as favourite?

188BET’s odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so, if Verstappen is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.

The odds for the win

Of course, it is the Dutchman who remains favourite for the win. He broke his own record for most wins in a single season last weekend in Mexico, with an impressive 16 victories so far in 2023 and that doesn’t include his Sprint wins.

Can Verstappen keep his winning streak going in Brazil?

Speaking of, Brazil is the final Sprint weekend of the season, so there are two chances to impress in Sao Paulo. With Mercedes already saying this track should suit their car, Lewis Hamilton just jumped up to second-favourite according to the bookmakers, despite his team mate being the one to win at this track last season.

• Max Verstappen 1.30
• Lewis Hamilton 9.00
• Lando Norris 13.0
• Sergio Perez 19.0
• George Russell 21.0
• Charles Leclerc 26.0
• Carlos Sainz, Oscar Piastri 29.0
• Fernando Alonso 101
• Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 251
• Daniel Ricciardo, Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 601

The odds for who will be fastest in qualifying

Verstappen hasn’t had it all his own way in qualifying of late, Ferrari proving that they have the one-lap pace to take the fight to Red Bull. While they haven’t been able to translate that into too many race victories yet, they should still be in the mix come qualifying.

Russell won this race last year – but hasn’t been able to win since

Lando Norris had a rare off day in Mexico, exiting in Q1 in a very disappointing display. He more than made up for that in the race, scything his way through the field to climb up to fifth, and won’t want to give himself as much hard work to do this weekend.

• Max Verstappen 1.50
• Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton 9.00
• Carlos Sainz, George Russell, Lando Norris 13.0
• Oscar Piastri, Sergio Perez 23.0
• Fernando Alonso 101
• Alex Albon 151
• Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 251
• Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll 301
• Kevin Magnussen, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 601

The odds for a podium finish

The field has got closer and closer as the season has worn on, so it is no surprise that there is little to choose between the front runners when it comes to finishing on the podium. Norris was on a streak of four straight podiums until his Mexico qualifying cost him the chance of adding to that, while Hamilton bounced back from being disqualified in Austin with a podium last weekend.

Sergio Perez needs a rostrum, having not finished in the top three since Monza back at the start of September. As for last year’s race winner George Russell, he still only has one podium finish to show for his entire season so far. Returning to the track where he won his maiden Grand Prix, he’ll want a strong showing in Sao Paulo.

• Max Verstappen 1.10
• Lewis Hamilton 1.55
• Lando Norris 1.70
• Sergio Perez 2.60
• George Russell 3.00
• Charles Leclerc 4.50
• Carlos Sainz, Oscar Piastri 5.00
• Fernando Alonso 17.0
• Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 101
• Daniel Ricciardo, Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 251

If Norris can cut out the errors, he knows he has a very fast race car

The odds for fastest lap

So much could depend on the state of the race late on when it comes to fastest lap, with anyone in the top 10 able to take home the extra point. With AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo tied on points in the fight for eighth in the constructors’, if either team gets a driver into the top 10, the temptation to go for the bonus point might be hard to resist.

Much will depend on form – with AlphaTauri looking exceptionally quick in Mexico City in the hands if Daniel Ricciardo. If he brings that pace to Brazil, the team might fancy their chances of sneaking a few more points.

• Max Verstappen 1.55
• Lewis Hamilton 8.50
• George Russell, Lando Norris, Sergio Perez 10.0
• Carlos Sainz, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri 19.0
• Fernando Alonso 29.0
• Esteban Ocon, Pierre Gasly 151
• Daniel Ricciardo, Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 251

What are the odds for which team will take the most points?

Despite Perez’s DNF last time out, it is no surprise that Red Bull are favourites to take home the most points. Ferrari have fallen down the pecking order in that regard, their race pace leaving them vulnerable to the consistency of Mercedes and the ever improving pace of McLaren.

Leclerc is chasing a third straight pole

As for Aston Martin, from the second quickest car to the fifth, they desperately need a good points haul to restore some confidence throughout the ranks off the back of a couple of tricky weekends.

• Red Bull 1.20
• Mercedes 6.00
• McLaren 10.0
• Ferrari 17.0
• Aston Martin 67.0
• Alpine 101
• Alfa Romeo, AlphaTauri, Haas, Williams 301

The odds for a Safety Car appearing during the race

Brazil has thrown up some pretty chaotic races in the past, including plenty in the wet. At the moment, the forecast looks dry for the weekend itself – but even so, it will only take one car to struggle with reliability for the Safety Car to need to make an appearance.
