Near the seventh hole of the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, a grove of big boxed trees sits ready to be planted along the trail that rings the golf course. The Rancho Santa Fe Association will soon begin planting a total of 156 new trees along two miles of the golf course trail, as part of the trail beautification plan approved by the Art Jury over the summer.

The tree plan creates a natural wooded feel and a canopy of trees shading over the trail, and fills the skyline with the Covenant’s signature silhouette of eucalyptus trees. A total of 59 new eucalyptus trees are part of the plan, along with California sycamores, Coast live oaks and accent trees like Catalina and Carolina cherry and pink trumpets.
The plan also includes 150 small trees and assorted shrubs.
