The seven-time world champion will face Ali Carter next in Tianjin.
Carter made centuries in his opening two frames as he enjoyed a 6-1 last-16 success over Daniel Wells in China.
Selby’s conqueror Ford will meet Barry Hawkins, who recovered from 5-1 down to beat Thepchaiya Un-Nooh 6-5.
Brown will face Stephen Maguire in the last eight after the Scot edged past Ryan Day 6-4.
The quarter-final line-up is completed with an all-Chinese meeting between Zhang Anda and Ding Junhui.
