A local veteran advocate is bringing back a unique event aimed at raising money for local veteran projects.
Dan Reinke, who has organized the cleaning of Civil War gravesites at Evergreen Cemetary, is bringing back Snow Golf at Meadow Links Golf Course this winter.
The event is a four-person scramble where golfers use a maximum of three clubs to hit a racquetball instead of a standard golf ball.
Last year’s event drew 64 golfers to the course, and already, 44 golfers are looking to participate.
Prizes will be available for the teams in 1st, 5th, and 10th places, and a lunch will be provided.
Proceeds from Snow Golf 2024 will go towards the Civil War Gravesite Restoration Project.
Hole sponsors are still needed as well, so anyone who would like to participate in the event or would like to sponsor a hole is encouraged to contact Dan either by calling or texting 920-973-7870 or by sending an email to SaveTheVeteransDan@Outlook.com.
