Adam Hadwin made the most of his mulligan this week.
Hadwin, a veteran on the PGA Tour, made waves at the Valspar Championship last Friday when, amid a 5-over 76 that had him in line to miss a second straight cut, slammed his club into the ground. The only problem: A sprinkler got in the way, causing water to stream out in all directions.
Video of what happened quickly spread on social media, as Hadwin could be seen desperately trying to prevent the water from spraying out. His efforts, though, didn’t work.
But Valspar officials said Friday that Hadwin and his wife Jessica made amends, paying for all the repairs to the sprinklers and buying lunch for the course maintenance department at Innisbrook.

Hadwin won the Valspar in 2017, his lone victory on the PGA Tour. The 37-year-old Canadian is currently 94th in the FedEx Cup standings and ranked 79th in the world.
