deboer Eager to Change the Swimsuit Game; Already Making an Impact

What defines an industry leader? Typically, the company will offer high-performing products. Its leadership team will ooze passion, a dedication that permeates to all levels of the organization. Meanwhile, innovation is a trademark, as forward-thinking individuals are never satisfied with the status quo. Rather, there is a constant search for growth and greatness.

In the swimwear world, deboer is an inarguable leader.

Officially founded by Alex de boer and David Greenstein in 2018, the deboer company immediately made an impact on the triathlon scene. Its wetsuits were widely acclaimed and quickly became sought after equipment. Although the company launched in the late 2010s, first-generation triathlon wetsuits were actually distributed in the mid-1990s. The creation of the deboer company was simply a new opportunity to take a deep understanding of engineering, fluid dynamics and hydrodynamics, and bring an expertise to aquatic sports.

Now, the deboer organization has ventured into swimsuits for the competitive swimmer and athletes looking for a suit that will propel them from one end of the pool to the other faster than ever before. In a sport where hundredths of a second often determine a race’s outcome, why wouldn’t swimmers want to arm themselves with a suit that not only provides a boost physically, but also through the mental confidence it provides.

Through years of research and development, deboer has developed the 3dium fabric for its suits. This revolutionary material, which has been approved by World Aquatics for use in competition, was developed through countless hours of scientific study in the pool, lab and flume. Ultimately, deboer crafted scale arrays in its 3dium fabric, a textured surface that significantly reduces drag. In the water, drag is an enemy, and deboer is fighting this foe like no other company.

How much confidence lies in the deboer brand? Well, 10-time Olympic medalist Caeleb Dressel recently joined the deboer family. A future Hall of Famer, Dressel opted to shift his allegiance to deboer because of the company’s willingness to examine new opportunities. Unlike other companies, whose production plans must be schedule well in advance, deboer boasts a fluid development schedule that expedites its ability to adjust, apply and learn while creating its latest products.

The deboer suits, though, are not just made for the elite-level athlete. They are available for a wide array of competitors, ranging from the Masters athlete to collegiate, high school and age-group performers. The company, simply, is dedicated to supporting all swimmers, and allowing science to play a key role in performance.

What an opportunity.
