Bryson DeChambeau has finally completed his quest to hit a hole-in-one at his Texas home on Day 16 of the challenge, which has garnered millions of views on social media.
The two-time US Open champion began the challenge on November 13 as he tried to hit an ace from the front of the house onto a putting green 100 yards away in his back garden.
The rules were simple – as the days passed, he would get as many chances to complete the challenge as days he’d been attempting to do it.
Wednesday was Day 16 of DeChambeau’s attempt to hit a hole-in-one, which he had come close to more than a dozen times over the previous 15 days, but none of his attempts had dropped until his 134th shot, which saw the ball clear the house, hit the green just a few yards shot of the hole and roll gently into the cup without any assistance from lucky ricochets off other balls.
“Are you kidding me!” the 31-year-old screamed as he sprinted to the back of the house, picked the ball out of the hole and kissed it, before tossing it away, presumably not back over the house.
