Rashford nears Villa move
Marcus Rashford is on the brink of completing his loan move to Aston Villa, according to reports.
The out-of-favour Manchester United forward, 27, is not wanted by Ruben Amorim and has been frozen out since December 12.
Reports on Friday emerged that Villa were keen to take the England international on a temporary deal until the end of the season.
And now The Athletic and Fabrizio Romano claim a deal is nearing completion for Rashford to join Unai Emery’s side.
It is stated Villa are covering the majority of Rashford’s whopping £325,000-a-week wages.
They are also offering performance-related bonuses.
That is largely possible due to the fact the Midlands side sold Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr for £64million.
The reports also add that there will be an option for Villa to buy Rashford included in the deal.

Man Utd make first signing under
Manchester United have made their first signing of the transfer window.
The Red Devils have completed the acquisition of Ayden Heaven from Arsenal.
A snippet of a club statement read: “”Manchester United is pleased to confirm that Ayden Heaven has joined the club.
“The 18-year-old centre-back made his Arsenal debut earlier this season and has featured for England up to Under-19s level.
“Heaven has signed a contract until June 2029, with the option of an additional year, and he will immediately join United’s first-team squad.”

Arsenal Done Deal
Gunners goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo has joined Hitchin Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
A club statement read: “Brian Okonkwo has joined Southern Premier Central Division side Hitchin Town on loan for the remainder of the season.
“The 19-year-old goalkeeper joined our academy in April 2018 and has gone on to feature for both Leatherhead and Cheshunt on work experience loan deals.
“Brian also featured for Hitchin Town in February 2023, when he joined them on a one-match loan.
“We wish Brian all the best for his loan spell at Hitchin Town and look forward to seeing his continued development.
“The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

Chelsea eye Ferguson
Chelsea are reportedly plotting a shock move for Evan Ferguson.
It’s claimed Blues boss Enzo Maresca is weighing up signing a new forward before the window closes on Monday.
And according to The Guardian, the west Londoners have joined the race to lure the Republic of Ireland international away from Brighton.

Slot’s Salah update
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has given an update on Mohamed Salah’s future with the club.
“Everybody wants him, including us. We want him to extend, of course, that is clear.
“I am not surprised that Saudi want him. But I would not be surprised if other countries want him as well.
“He is old and wise enough, he has done many smart things in his career, he will make the right decision for himself and hopefully us as well.”

Duran’s in the money
Jhon Duran’s move to Al-Nassr from Aston Villa has well and truly improved his bank balance.
