Mar 25, 2025, 09:35 PM ET

The TGL finals continued on Tuesday night as Atlanta Drive Golf Club and New York Golf Club played the second match of a best-of-three series for the inaugural TGL championship.

Atlanta Drive GC took a 1-0 lead in the series on Monday, beating New York GC 6-5 in a closely contested match that came down to the final hole. In Tuesday’s match, Atlanta pulled off a late comeback win, beating New York 4-3 to complete the sweep and claim the SoFi Cup.

Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas were active for Atlanta, while Lucas Glover was inactive. For New York, Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young and Rickie Fowler were in action. Matt Fitzpatrick did not play.

After a missed putt by New York’s Young, Cantlay had an opportunity to give Atlanta an early lead on Hole 1. Although Cantlay appeared to hit a perfect 20-foot putt, the ball rimmed out of the hole, resulting in a tie.

Schauffele, New York take lead

New York finally broke the tie late in the triples portion of the match, as Schauffele hit an impressive first shot that positioned his team to take a 1-0 lead on Hole 7. His shot landed just under 5 feet away from the hole.

NYGC followed up its score on Hole 7 by picking up another point on Hole 8. Young hit a nearly perfect approach that landed just 15 inches from the cup. After his shot, New York threw the hammer to double the hole’s value, but Atlanta declined, giving New York a point.

New York takes 3-0 lead

New York continued to distance itself from Atlanta on the first hole of the singles portion of the match, as Schauffele beat Thomas on Hole 10, putting New York up 3-0.

After slowly chipping away at New York’s lead in singles, Atlanta finally took a lead on Hole 14. Fowler hit his first shot into the bunker, opening the door for Atlanta to throw the hammer. Horschel followed up by hitting a nearly 18-foot putt to give Atlanta a 4-3 lead before sealing the win on Hole 15.
