Fans of Carlos Alcaraz will get an up close and personal look into his life and career thanks to a new Netflix documentary series this month.

Carlos Alcaraz: My Way will premiere on Netflix on April 23.

The three-part series will give viewers an inside look into his life, career, and family, along with insights from tennis greats, his coaches, and more, as it follows him along during his incredible 2024 season.

In the trailer, the 21-year-old Alcaraz reveals he still sleeps in a twin bed in the small bedroom of his parent’s house. Yet his bedroom also contains many of his tennis trophies, including from winning Wimbledon, Roland Garros, and the US Open.

Alcaraz reveals that while he enjoys his life on the court, he wishes he could spend more time with his family.

“I’m someone who enjoys spending time at home,” Alcaraz says in the trailer. “But tennis doesn’t allow that. I want to spend time with my family and friends. I want to have free time. Right now my fear would be to see tennis as an obligation.”

The documentary features commentary from former Grand Slam champions Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Garbine Muguruza, and Juan Carlos Ferrero, Alcaraz’s coach.

“To accomplish what Novak, Roger, or myself have done, you need to feel that the sacrifices are worth it and that they pay off,” Nadal says in the trailer.

“You want to be everywhere, but you can’t be,” Federer says about life on the tennis tour.

“You don’t think about the level of physical demand, especially not the mental demand,” Alcaraz says about tennis.

“I’m still young. There’s a lot of life ahead of me. I want to make my own decisions. And if I mess up, I want it to be on me,” he adds. “I’m building my path to become the greatest player in history. I want to do it my way.”

Carlos Alcaraz: My Way starts streaming on April 23 on Netflix.
